HOW IT WORKS · OVERVIEW
  1. Who acts?
  2. Which action?
  3. Tools and permissions

A person or an organisation?

A qualified signature identifies the person signing. A seal confirms the organisational origin and integrity of documents. Running a business does not automatically mean every task can be completed with a seal.

What does a KSeF certificate do?

A KSeF certificate is a tool for that system. Type 1 supports authentication. Type 2 is used to establish the issuer’s identity in special invoice-issuing modes outside the live system connection. It does not replace a general-purpose signature for PDF contracts.

Access versus permissions

Having your identity recognised is different from permission to act for an entity. An authorised person can act in a company’s context. We therefore establish the person’s role, entity and intended action before choosing the access method.

Prepare three answers

Tell me whether the matter concerns a person or an organisation, which application you use and whether you want to log in, issue an invoice or sign a document outside KSeF. Do not send invoices or login details. This is enough to begin a useful discussion.

The solution and your next questions

Explore the solution and support
Does a seal replace a person’s signature?

A seal identifies an organisation and confirms a document’s origin and integrity. It does not replace a person’s signature where their declaration is required.

Can a KSeF certificate sign an ordinary contract?

A KSeF certificate has purposes within that system. Do not choose it as a replacement for a general qualified signature for contracts and other files.

Keep the preparation checklist.
