HOW IT WORKS · OVERVIEW
  1. Choose a term
  2. Check the certificate dates
  3. Plan the next term

What the chosen period means

New SimplySign, card signatures and cloud or card seals offer certificate terms. Check the actual start and end dates in the issued certificate. Do not calculate expiry solely from the purchase invoice.

How to choose

Consider one year for a shorter need or when you expect changes. Two or three years may suit ongoing work. A longer term does not change the signature type or your permissions. We also check the data, identity document and any limitations of your existing solution.

Renewing a signature

SimplySign and card signatures have 1, 2 or 3-year renewal options when the process requirements are met. A currently valid certificate is needed. Buying a code does not complete the process. For an older card, continued hardware use also needs checking.

Arranging a seal’s next term

Seals can be issued for 1, 2 or 3 years. We establish the next-term process for your specific format and organisational details. Do not assume a person’s signature renewal code also renews a seal. Contact me before expiry so we can prepare the appropriate route.
